"My Fingertips are holding onto the cracks in our foundation..."

Hey girlies :)

Hope you're all having a great Tuesday so far, well it's almost over now isn't it? Just a quick little post from me as my boyfriend is off out on a works party, so I'm going to run a bubble bath and watch tonight's 90210.

I have oily skin, it's got worse over the past 18 months and last summer, I looked in the mirror and decided that something needed to be done! I discovered this foundation in Summer 2009, a friend told me that it was a dupe for a MAC foundation and one of my favourite ever bloggers Lollipop26 also recommend it.

The foundation in question is Revlon Colorstay for oily/combination skin. This is heavy. If you don't like heavy foundations then this is not for you. My boyfriend always jokes that it looks like I'm 'painting my face' when I use this and when you have bad skin, you want something substantial to cover it all up.

This is great for oil control, I find with powder, that I'm pretty much shine free all day which I think is pretty impressive, this is the only foundation that I have repurchased and it's the best that I've used for my skin type.

I know that foundation is pretty bad for your skin and some people are like oooh it can make you look like you belong on Snog Marry Avoid but if your self conscious about your skin like I am, you want something to hide behind. My skin seems to be getting better lately and come summer I will probably swap for a tinted moisturiser.

If you have oily skin and like a heavy long lasting coverage this is great, it's about £12.00 I think but it lasts ages! I bought my last pot in August and I only ran out last week.

Hope you all have a lovely night, I'm off to have a bath or shower (not decided yet! )

  1. Great song ;)
I'd love to see a picture of this on your face, I have oily skin too so i'm interested to see how it looks :) xx

  2. I have quite oily skin too, always have. But it's gotten so much better since I started using Bare Minerals foundation. I do use a Natio Mineral liquid foundation first though which may help.

  3. sounds like quite a good product! i might just try out!! :)

  4. haha, love the title :)
Yeahh, i have oily skin bt I don't want a lot of coverage, Im going to try 24 hr by maybelline, its good for oily skin but has a lighter coverage for summer :)

  5. Love the title of this post, I used to be so obsessed with that song when I first heard it! My skin is dry but gets oily during the summer months, I stick to using MAC foundation even though it dries my skin out a lot. xo

  6. Looks like a great product! Maybe you could post some pictures with the product on?

I'm having a giveaway if you wanna check it out! :) xx

  7. I have yet to try this, but it does look good! I have quite oily skin that can be problematic at times too, so this might be a good one to try. Hope you had a good night!

  8. I love this foundation - I use the one for dry/combination skin and the coverage is so good. My boyfriend hates it when I put it on but it makes me feel so much better when I wear it!

  9. Adore that foundation!

  10. I like Revlon foundations.:D

    Thanks for the review.:D
