My first experience of eyebrow threading..

Monday, September 26, 2011

Hey Girlies!

Hope you're all okay and having a lovely Monday so far, today I had my first experience of eyebrow threading! After my post about my eyebrows last week, alot of you commented saying how amazing threading was. I had heard alot of threading but never got round to getting mine done. I finally bit the bullet and booked an appointment at a nearby beauty salon in the hope of some polished tidy eyebrows.

Where I live there seems to be a lack of eyebrow threading, they do it in the local Superdrug but they've positioned it in the front of the shop next to the tills, I just don't like the idea of people being able to watch whilst they're queuing up to pay for their shower gel. So for an extra £1.50 I decided to push the boat and have a little luxury in my life.

My 'Before' eyebrows
I didn't quite know what to expect pain wise, I think I have quite a good pain threshold and after many years of waxing my eyebrows I thought it would be a doddle. I'm not going to lie it did hurt, it was weird, I suppose because they take a line of hairs out it's quite intense. Though the one eyebrow hurt more than the other which I thought was weird.

This was when I just got back- check out the redness!
The ' After' shot :)

I am pleased with the finished look, I don't think my eyebrows have looked this tidy in ages, though I would maybe like them a little thicker as I'm quite into the natural strong brow. But I do love the polished look. I also bought some a brow tinting kit from town to make my brows darker. I bought a dark brown kit and I think my brows are darker but I couldn't get a accurate picture, so I'll post some pictures of that later this week.

So yeah thank you for your recommendations, I think I will carry on with eyebrow threading as I love the look! Have you ever had your eyebrows threaded?

Hope you all have a good evening :)

  1. I used to pluck between my brows until about 2-3 yrs ago, but never shaped them; until my bff convinced me to try threading - after that there was no going back. I tend to get them done every 3 weeks and find my left eye hurts far more than the right. All the threading places near my house are all really open so I'm used to it, but there's nothing luxurious or pampering about it! x

  3. Ooh, I may have to try this! It looks especially neat on the top of brows and I cannot pluck there. BTW you're one of my fave bloggers from the UK, Corrie. I'm doing a giveaway on my blog if you're interested! I hope it is ok to let you know this way. I won't post a link :)

  4. I absoutely love threading but find it so hard to fit an appointment in. I don't find it particularly painful, though there was one time when the woman was incredibly rough and the skin on my brow bone swelled up... needless to say I didn't go back to her! The results from threading really are the best IMO, they're SO tidy and precise. x

  6. This looks great, I only just got mine waxed for the first time last month which is a bit of a shocker but I've heard and seen so many good reviews on threading I'm going to have to give it a go!

  15. Well, it certainly is good that it suits your face perfectly. I think I'll show this to my girlfriend. Since she thinks that she needs to do eyebrow threading. But I'm fine with her looks either way.
