I'm one of those girls who pops on a full face of make up just to pop the shops, always have been and probably always will be obsessed with make up and in my book a smokey eye is not just for night time. However lately I have been digging more of a natural make up look especially in the daytime. I've harped on here how I struggle with my skin and I suppose I cover my face in make up to gain confidence, but for the first time today in ages I felt quite confident with my skin thanks to a couple of new skin care purchases and decided to try out a no make up, make up look.
La Roche Posay Effaclar K as base
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
Estee Lauder Doublewear Maximum cover foundation used as concealer
The Body Shop Illuminating touch used under eyes
Nars Laguna Bronzer
Maybelline Touch Cream Blush Peach
Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara
Models Own Smokey Eye Kit: Simmer for eyebrows
MUA and Love Hearts Lip Balm: Sugar Lips
Surprisingly I actually really like the look and think it makes my skin look really fresh and radiant. Also being a huge eyeshadow fan, it felt rather weird going au-natural but I liked the fact that no eyeshadow made my eyelashes stand out so much more. I let my Nars Laguna bronzer do most of the work and then applied some Maybelline Dream Touch cream blush to the very top of my cheeks to add a peachy glow that was enough but not too much. Even my lips just had a slick of lip balm and again this look is something that I may brave a little more often. I've surprised myself by seeing that I don't need loads of make up to look alright and who knows I may even brave this look to uni tomorrow. Do you like the natural look or prefer to go all out like a Kardashian?
I hope you all have a lovely Thursday evening, today I've been quite productive with a spring clean, and took loads of photos for blogging.. anything to avoid uni work eh ;)
