Trying to pretend I'm from Chelsea: Natural-ish FOTDWednesday, April 18, 2012
Lately I've been favouring the more natural look when it comes to make up. I have been swapping my full coverage matte foundations for dewy foundations with less coverage and my all out smokey eyes for a more natural one. I think Made in Chelsea is partly to blame for this transformation, the girls all have quite natural make up that still looks really glam. So I thought I'd show the look I've been wearing most days at the moment. Quite natural for me considering my make up used to aspire Kardashian quantities but of course I'm not giving up the old fake tan just yet! After all the girls on MIC are always tanned!
Face: L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Foundation as concealer, Jemma Kidd illuminating concealer under eyes, Body Shop Illuminating touch concealer under eyes, L'oreal True Match powder, Nars Laguna Bronzer, Illamasqua Lover Blush
Eyes: Urban Decay Naked Palette 1: Naked all over the lid, Buck in the crease, Sin & Half Baked in the inner corner, 17 Peep Show Mascara, Maybelline Gel Eyeliner, Models Own Smokey Eye Kit for eyebrows.
Lips: Topshop Coy and MUA & Love Hearts Sweet Kiss lip balm over the top.
So yeah even though I find this look quite natural there still is a lot of products used! I find that I am getting better with the whole natural look and sometimes use a tinted moisturiser! Dun dun deh!! I think the main fact that I've been shying away from the TOWIE look is the fact that for the first time in ages my skin is behaving. I think it's down to the fact I have a proper skin care routine at last and so far it's working. What's the odds I now break out in a million spots? But I feel quite confident with my skin which means I'm no longer hiding it. I will be uploading a video of me creating this look on my Youtube channel soon! It might go up today or tomorrow maybe! So look out for that if you're interested!
I hope you all have a lovely Wednesday, I'm enjoying being back home but finding it hard to motivate myself to do uni work here and eat healthily! I got the old "you're too skinny" off my Mum but I think that's just a Mum thing to say! Yesterday I had an embarrassing incident where I was on the Wii Fit and a little boy who was walking past stopped to look at what I was doing. He then waved at the cat so I couldn't work out if he was staring at me or the cat Louie who was sitting in the window. Perhaps both. I hope you all have a good evening :)
