Get Lashes Like Millie: Millie Mackintosh & Nouveau Beauty CollabrationTuesday, September 25, 2012
You may know by now if you've been reading my blog for a while about how much I love Millie Mackintosh from Made in Chelsea. I say love.. more like a little obsessed. I've fallen in love with her perfect natural make up and I'm sure you lot have heard me waffle on about her more than once or twice. So you all know my love for her, yes? Well can you imagine my excitement when I heard she was releasing a range of false lashes? I almost wet my pants, I'll tell you that. Millie always has the most amazing lashes, sometimes I couldn't work out if they were real or fake so I am literally so happy she's released a range so I can buy some and walk round and pretend I'm her. You think I'm joking.
Millie has collaborated with Nouveau Lashes to create her own line of lashes, there's eight pairs and they're all called after Mill's favourite places in London. Millie is a trained make up artist so she's chosen the range carefully and has made sure that the lashes are 100% natural hair, have mild adhesive so there's no gluing your eyelid shut like I've almost done before and the adhesive is latex free and mild on the skin. The lashes can also be worn up to five times which is a must for girls like me who like to watch their bank balance. There's a mixture of natural to flirty lashes with names such as Portobello, Mayfair and Soho. I actually love them all and think there's not one pair I wouldn't wear. Millie has really created a lovely range of lashes and I'm not just saying that because she's my favourite Made in Chelsea person. When the lashes were launched on Tuesday, I hopped onto the Nouveau Lash website and made myself a cheeky order. I restrained myself ( my bank made a sigh of relief) and only purchased two pairs; Mayfair and Carnaby. However after receiving them and seeing how gorgeous and natural they are in the flesh, I'm now craving more. Once payday comes, Shoreditch and Soho will be mine.
The lashes themselves are amazing, they are so light that you can hardly feel them when they're on. Part of the reason why I don't wear false lashes that often is because I can find them quite uncomfortable. These are great though and cause no problem at all. The glue isn't bad either, though I prefer my Duo lash glue, the glue that comes with them is fine, it's not too harsh on skin, your lashes come off easy without pulling at your eyelids and is even latex free. I have to say, I'm pretty much in love with this lash range, natural looking lashes and made by Millie, what's not to love. I really love the Mayfair set that I own, Carnaby are more night time lashes and maybe a bit too spiky for me, but I'm sure they'll look great with a smokey eye for a night on the tiles. Like I mentioned above, I will have to add Shoreditch and Soho to my collection!!
The range is out now so go, go go. You can buy them from Nouveau Lashes website here or in Selfridges. The lashes are £8.99 a pair and are easily the best lashes I've ever bought. Also good new for Millie fans, she's revamped her website and will be blogging (Link) AND making videos ( Link) more often! I can't even tell you how excited this makes me.
