Deeper Shade of Blue: Outfit

Hello!

This weekend, my boyfriend and I popped home to attend a wedding reception. Due to not being able to have time off work we were only visiting for the one night so it was what you'd call a fleeting visit. We went back to solely attend my cousin's wedding reception, who had got married in Cyprus a couple of weeks ago so the reception was for everyone who couldn't attend. For the past few weeks I have been in a quandary over what to wear, I couldn't work out how formal it would be and I also didn't want to splash too much cash. In the end I opted for this little lace number from Urban Outfitters that I picked up in their sale a few weeks back. Some of you may know that Caroline Flack has this dress too and after she tweeted a picture of her wearing it a few weeks back I knew I had to have it. Even more spurred on by the fact it was £20 in the sale, this was soon winging it's way to my doorstep. However after a small drama with the zip, I decided this would be perfect, not too formal but obviously not too casual either.

I was going to pop a blazer with this dress but decided against in the end, I wore black accessories in the form of black heels from Primark and a black studded clutch which could honestly fit the kitchen sink in, also from Primark. I also wore a gold necklace from River Island as I felt it needed some neck action. I do love the dress though, it's so comfortable and the colour is unlike anything else I own. The fact that Flack also has this dress is obviously a winner for me. Louise and Carl's wedding reception was lovely, it was nice to see everyone and my boyfriend and I even had a little boogie. My boyfriend loved doing the macreana with me! However we're back home now and boy after a jam packed 24 hours I am pooped! I was supposed to have one of those super productive days off, but the washing up is still looking at me judging and the bedroom is still a mess. Oh well. I also got to see my little sister this weekend who will be turning one this week! She's changed so much it's unbelievable, she's now walking and can understand everything you say. It won't be long till she's chattering away, we bought her some clothes and a toy puppy which she loved. I have never seen anyone's eyes light up as much when we gave her the puppy since my boyfriend said to me he'd bought home some Kripsy Kreme's.
