My Everyday Face..

Monday, March 18, 2013

Hello!

I haven't done a everyday make up post in what seems like forever. You see I keep changing up my make up, some days I'm all natural and then other days I'm slapping it on like I'm a cast member of Towie. The cold weather is making my skin a bit naff so I've been opting for a little more to try and make myself feel a bit more glamorous. Also due to my current addiction to Chasing the Saturdays and obsession with Mila Kunis.. I've been sporting a more smokey eye than normal. Those Saturdays have captured my heart with their wardrobe, hair and make up. Can I be best friends with Mollie and Frankie please?

Face: Like I mentioned my skin's been a bit naff lately, so I've been turning to my beloved YSL Touche Eclat foundation. It's great for making your skin glow and helps to give winter skin a radiance boost. It's medium coverage so still looks pretty natural, but gives you an almost airbrushed look. I love it. I've been breaking out a bit this month so I've been using my trusty Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Foundation as concealer. However I have been applying this to my face before foundation. This then means that my foundation looks more natural as I don't need to apply concealer on top of it. Try it, it's a game changer. For those eye bags ( yes my late night Tumblr addiction is still going strong) Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer and MAC Studio Sculpt concealer make me look awake and not as haggard. I would kiss them if that wasn't a bit weird. Nars Laguna has made a reappearance in my make up routine, I've been sporting a more natural bronzed look of late and Laguna gives me a nice sun kissed glow. It's still a bit too pale for me, but perfect for this type of weather. MAC's Warmth of Coral is what I use on my baby faced cheeks, I swear these cheeks are the reason I look about 12. Then Dior Amber Diamond to highlight. I do love a bit of highlighter.

Eyes: Like I mentioned earlier, I'm (trying and probably failing to) channel Mila Kunis at the moment with a brown smokey eye, Ive been using the Naked Palette's Smog as a base then either adding MAC Twinks or Satin Taupe in the crease. More on those in another post though, and then Darkhorse (Naked palette) along the lash line and smog under my eyes. I'll then add lashings of mascara ( see what I did there) with Benefit's They're Real mascara* and then coat them with Bourjous Waterproof Clubbing Mascara. Then I'll line my waterline with Maybelline's Gel eyeliner. That stuff is seriously good.

Lips: It's still all about MAC Shy Girl with me, it's my everyday lipstick and it won't be long till I'm buying the third tube of the stuff!

So I hope you're all having a good start to your week, I have a couple of days off so I'm planning to spend my days off by blogging and awaiting my new Nars purchase to be delivered! Hurry up postie!!
