What's in my Holiday Make Up Bag...

One thing I love about going on holiday, is the fact that you wear barely any make up. I know that I am a beauty blogger and although I love make up, it is sometimes nice to put down the make up brushes and go au natural. Of course like I do every time before I go on holiday, I had a nice big breakout. I think I've found the culprit, a new micellar water I'd been using. Boo his boo. So this meant before I got a  bit of colour on my face I did have to wear a tiny bit of concealer round the pool. However in the evenings, my make up routine took half the time it normally does, after all I wanted to let my holiday glow shine through and not be covered up with foundation! I wore factor 50 on my face this holiday and then factor 30 the last couple of days, as it's very important to not burn on your face. No one wants to look like a leather bag when they're older. However, I managed to still tan quite a lot, so much the darker foundations I took away with me were too pale! Luckily once I got home, I managed to find a darker foundation to match up with my new tan! So let's see what my holiday make up bag stored...

My Mix Foundation: Medium 3: Okay so technically this didn't come on holiday with me, but since I've been home, this has been my everyday foundation. The colour is dark enough for my tan, I knew it'd come in handy one day! It's also low/medium coverage so it doesn't cover my face too much but helps to add some coverage on blemishes. It has quite a dewy finish, so a bit of powder is needed for oily skin days!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: Shade 3: This concealer is so good for the price, it's high coverage so great for covering up blemishes and dark circles. A must have for me, that accompanied me on the plane and by the pool. I need to go re buy my 4th tube asap!

MAC Prep & Prime Light Boost: This is great for dark circles, though it is a little light right now, it's great for brightening up the under eye area.

Nars Laguna: Easily one of my favourite bronzers, great for even-ing out less tanned areas on my face, like my jaw and neck. A subtle natural bronzer that I've sadly hit pan on :(

My holiday make up in action...

MAC Immortal Flower Blush: Every holiday make up bag needs a peach blush in it and this is mine! A peach flush is a great addition to a tan, I love MAC blushes, this one is really pigmented and a little goes a long way.

Nars Copacabana Illuminator: Holiday make up, isn't holiday make up without a bit of 'glow' I added mine with this Nars Illuminator, it leaves a really lovely sheen on the skin that isn't too disco ball. I've been wearing it back home, to re create that 'I've just stepped off the beach' look.

Bare Minerals Eyeshadow Duo*: The Top Shelf: this gold duo have been perfect for holiday make up. Compact and pigmented, they're great for travelling. The rich warm gold shades have been great for all over my eyelid to compliment my tan. I would also slightly contour my eye crease by adding some Nars Laguna. See multi tasking products.. check me out.

Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara: Holiday mascara needs to be waterproof, using this paired with eyelash curlers makes my lashes look long and full. This mascara also doesn't budge, so that late night swim? It's got you covered.

Shavata Brow Gel*: As I predicted, my brows went crazy in the heat. They had a sudden growth spurt! However this clear brow gel is great for taming them into place, with a nib to brush the brows, it's a two in one. I really like this gel as it isn't sticky, or makes your brows look unnatural.

L'oreal Superliner: Though I don't like too much eye make up on holiday, a bit of liner along my upper lash line was great for adding a bit more depth to my eyes. This liner is great for getting a neat line and is really pigmented. A must have for liner fans!

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons*: My bourjois color boost's were well used on holiday, with a SPF15 and a glossy finish, they were great for popping on for a swash of colour.

So there's my holiday make up, it's nice to be wearing a little less make up than normal.. but I'm sure I'll be back to craving a smokey eye soon!
