Things That Shouldn't Work But Do: Pink Eyeshadow

Okay so I'm pretty unadventurous when it comes to my make up. Last year I just about managed to experiment with a bright lip, but for the majority of the time I keep it quite simple and usually the only colours to adorn my eyes are gold and brown tones. Anyways, this autumn I have been a bit more daring with my eye make up. I bought MAC Cranberry for Pete's sake, that is an actual colour! The other day I got up to do some filming and I don't know why but I decided I wanted to try pink eyeshadow. Like a real light baby pink girly look, after having a divulge through my make up collection, I managed to find a few pink eyeshadows which were perfect for the look I wanted to try.

I first of all took a Benefit Bright Eyes kit*, which has a baby pink shimmery eyeshadow which worked perfectly for the base, this bright eyes kit is great for the mornings after the night before. Which is especially good for this time of the year with Christmas parties and all that jazz. My Christmas party is on a Sunday this year and I'm in work on the Monday morning. #prayforcorrie Anyways this kit is great for disguising how many jagerbombs you drunk. I then found a shockingly bright pink eyeshadow from 17 in my drawer. Using the tiniest amount, a little goes a long way and adding this on and then putting more baby pink eyeshadow on top it started to create the perfect pink eye. Then I took my current favourite eyeshadow the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pomegranate which is a cranberry shade with a  hint of bronze. I used this in the crease to finish the look.

I then added some of the Millie Mackintosh Mayfair lashes to find this the look and then my new Cheryl Greige Glow L'oreal nude lipstick. I also threw in some pink blush in the form of Topshop's cream blush in Flush. I have to say pink eyeshadow isn't as scary as I thought it would be and I don't think I look like I have conjunctivitis either. So who knows maybe I'll start being a bit more adventurous with my make up.. who knows eh!
