Guest Post: 5 Minute Face by Leanne Marie

So while Corrie is having fun in the sun over in Orlando I’ve stepped in and put together a little guest post for you all. My name is Leanne and I blog over at My blog consists of fashion, lifestyle and beauty posts, I thought as Corrie’s blog is predominantly beauty based I would stick with that genre and share with you the products I like to use when I am having a lazy day... or if I forget to set my alarm and have to rush to get ready for work in the morning!

When my skin is on it’s best behaviour I like to go for a lighter base. My go to product at the moment is Garnier’s Miracle skin protector in Light (currently on offer in boots) It’s very lightweight on the skin, gives a decent coverage and minimalises my pores. It’s a product I find easy to apply with my fingers, which blends it out well. It’s a quick an easy base to use for lazy mornings! I always have to add a little something under my eyes, I don’t suffer too much with dark under eye circles, however this Miss Sporty concealer is a favourite of mine. Not only does it give good coverage, it has a slight dewy finish to it which really brightens up the skin under my eyes. It’s cheaper than the Collection one every one loves and if I’m honest. I think I prefer it! On days like this I don't usually bother with contouring as it takes up more time. Instead I opt for just a blush, my go to blushers at the moment are from NARS. Yes they are on the pricey side but I cannot fault them. I have a fair few in my collection so I'm a little spoilt for choice. The one I am reaching for most at the moment is 'Love' from the Spring Final Cut collection.

When it comes to my eyes, I just apply mascara. I don't need to waste time blending eyeshadows or trying to perfect a winged eyeliner, a bit of mascara to thicken, lengthen and define my lashes is enough for me. I'm currently using the L'Oreal Million Lashes which I got free with a Look Fantastic order. I do like it, but it doesn't compare to my Holy Grail mascara which is the L'Oreal Voluminous in Carbon black.  I also feel that it's very important to fill in your brows, so even though it is not pictured, I do ensure I have time to take out my HD Brow palette and 'put my eyebrows on'. I feel a bit naked if I don't do that!
Finally for lips, I usually just opt for a lip balm! The Nivea lip butters are a recent addition to my collection. I bought the vanilla and raspberry flavours. Both smell amazing! I'm not usually a big fan of lip products that come from a pot, but I can make an exception for these!
So there you have it. My 5 minute/Lazy day makeup. Pretty simple but does the job! What are your go to products for a quick makeup look, or for those days when you feel you need a little something on your face but don't want to go all out? Let me know in the comments.
