The Best Home Fitness VideosThursday, September 03, 2015
A little while ago, I decided that in an attempt to save a bit more money, I was going to quit the gym. I know, I know, what the heck? But although I did enjoy going to the gym, I felt like it was also taking a big chunk out of my bank balance each month. So I decided that instead of totally turn into a coach potato. I would try out some online fitness videos instead. I mean with the world of YouTube, we have a whole list of fitness videos for free. See didn't need that fancy gym membership at all did I?
So let's start with YouTube shall we? I've tried a fair few videos, and have found my favourites. My two favourite fitness youtubers are Carly Rowena and Blogilates.
Carly first of all, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She's so friendly and down to earth and makes working out a bit easier than normal. She does one move/one song workouts which are great if you don't have a lot of time and I find she uses a lot of different moves that I haven't seen before. Definitely worth checking out, and let's just talk about her abs for a minute. omg.
Then we have Casey from Blogilates. Her happy infectious personality, helps you when you're feeling the burn. With a twist on pilates, I always find that I always ache the next day after Casey's videos, which always make me feel like I've actually worked something. I love Casey's inner thighs and muffin top workouts the best.
Barrecore: Next we have online videos from what seems like the new fitness craze. Combining a mixture of ballet, interval training and dance, it's a highly effective way to work out. I was lucky enough to be given a free month's trial of their online videos which they haven't long launched. For £25 a month, or £4 per video, you can try out the videos, in which there are a variety to choose from. Personally I think the membership is quite good value, when that is what you near enough pay to attend one class. The workouts are a bit longer than the usual ones that I like to do, but I found them very effective and a bit different to the normal videos I work out to. Worth a try, and it's what all the cool kids do, I also found it quite relaxing and not as full on as the usual high intensity work outs that I've done in the past. I'm going to keep going with them and will let you know how I get on :)
30 Day Shred- One of my favourites, is the 30 day Shred by Jillian Micheal's. You can pick the dvd up quite cheap on Amazon, but it's a great workout if time isn't on your side. It's effective, it works, you will need headphones though as you will hate Jillian. But great for an effective all over workout that only takes 20 minutes.
So those are my favourite at home workouts, let me know what yours are?
