Bride To Be Gift Guide Part TwoThursday, May 26, 2016
So today I am back with part two of my bridal gift guide. If you missed my first post, you can see that here. Today I am focusing on what to buy brides for their wedding present. Many couples, choose different options for their wedding gift, some will register at department stores ( I've always thought this looks the most fun), some will ask for contributions towards a honeymoon or money perhaps. Some will have no preference, which can be tricky trying to work out what to the buy the bride and groom.
I thought today, I'd include some examples of presents you can buy for brides, or for couples, and thinking in mind what I think I'd like and then what myself and Henry would like as a couple. So I hope it’s helpful in some way…
For The Bride: Gifts For Her HoneymoonIf perhaps, you are close with the bride but aren't too close with her new husband, you could perhaps get her a little special something to celebrate her big day. I think a lovely gift idea is buying her something for the honeymoon, perhaps some nice underwear, or luxurious pyjamas. Victoria's Secret have some amazing silk pyjamas that anyone would love to receive, but Missguided have some lovely budget ones which would look so pretty wrapped up in tissue. Jewellery is also lovely, I love this Kate Spade bracelet, or perhaps some lovely earrings such as these ones which would be so perfect for her to pack with her to go away. Or perhaps something to eat, such as her favourite sweet treat? I found these personalised sweetie jars online which I thought were cute, or maybe a box of macaroons if she's a big fan? I think all these presents are lovely, and I'm sure any bride would be made up to receive them. Other ideas could be a personalised/or new passport holder, compact mirror to take away in her hand luggage or perhaps some fragrance.
For The Couple: Classic & Keepsake Presents:
A guest book is also a lovely idea, if the bride and groom have just moved into a new place together, I like this Vera Wang Wedgwood one as you can pop a picture in the front to make it a little more personal. Like I mentioned in my previous gift guide, a personalised print perhaps of their wedding date would be lovely, and a more personal touch for them.
For The Couple: Gifts For The House:
Gifts for the house are always a good idea for wedding presents. If you know a very stylish bride, who's house is like something from a Pinterest Board, then I'm sure she'd love this Vera Wang Wedgwood candle, which is so sophisticated. Or you could buy her, her favourite scented candle which is always a lovely present. Picture frames are also always thoughtful, especially if you print out a picture from the wedding, or from a happy memory before hand to put in it. You could get them a personalised set of mugs such as these Mr and Mrs ones from Emma Bridgewater, or even some fun pillow cases from Old English Company.
Other things you could even buy are; a spa day voucher for them to unwind with after a busy few months wedding planning, restaurant vouchers for date night, or even get a little crafty with filling a jar with notes of date ideas on.
There are so many lovely presents out there, and don't feel stressed if you don't know what to buy the bride and groom. My best advice would to be think about what you would like to receive and then get something like that. I really hope you liked these gift guides that I have done recently, let me know if you'd perhaps like to see more like this in the future.
I hope you all have an amazing time at weddings this summer, and if it's your wedding then how exciting! I hope you have the most incredible day.
So tell me, what would you like to receive as a wedding present?
