I know that it's May, but I honestly was still a little surprised when we suddenly got nice weather last week. I hadn't even got my summer clothes out of storage yet and suddenly it was bare leg weather? Jeez, it was snowing last week, but then again that's good old UK weather for you. With last weekend, being the hottest days of the year so far, I couldn't sit around in my jeans and jumper, I'd of been way to much of a sweaty betty and no one has time for that.

So I was super happy, to have this very cute tea dress from Motel in my wardrobe as a new addition. Saving me from sweltering in my winter clothes as my summer clothes are still locked up in a vacuum bag somewhere!

This dress is so pretty and wait for it- it's actually got a little colour and pattern! Blimmin eck, am I feeling okay? But hey it's nice to have a little change now and then ;) it has a tie waist which I love so you can really pull it in to your waist and make it fit you really well. It has buttons all the way down, which I didn't realise at first (duh) and was unwittingly showing a lot of leg till I realised. It's also so light so perfect for hot days, but I did team it with my denim jacket which I got from Mint Vintage on ASOS last year, to cover up when the sun peeked behind the clouds!

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Mint Vintage
Dress: Motel*
Shoes: Superga

I always tend to go for comfort with shoes these days (because I'm basically a grandma) and these Superga pumps are so handy for teaming with dresses and skirts in the summer time. I recently washed them so they're looking almost as good as new. That whole paragraph makes me sound about 45 so sorry about that haha.

I'm actually really excited about summer clothes now, thanks to working out about 4/5 times a week, I'm feeling a lot more confident about my body than I have in recent years, so wearing dresses and shorts aren't making me feel as nervous as usual. Yay to being a bit more body confident!

Also one thing I did forget about when you take outfit pictures is how much of awkward turtle you feel. I literally wanted to die every time a car went past haha and well I have no idea what my legs are doing in these photos, but props to Henry for taking about 125 photos and putting up with me haha!

What are your Spring fashion must haves?
