Do you remember when you first discovered certain beauty brands and remember how excited you were? I'm hoping you're going to say yes or I'm going to seem like a little weirdo. Anyway, one brand that sticks out for me is Models Own. I remember discovering them in the summer of 2010, I think I saw them in Heat magazine which is where I discovered the majority of beauty products back in the day, and I went onto their website and fell in love with how many colours they sold. I was obsessed and I mean obsessed with nail polish at this point, and had been a Barry M girl through and through. But when I had the whole collection, I wanted more and Models Own got me excited.

I remember I ordered three colours to start me off, three pastel shades (standard Corrie) then the next week I ordered five more pastel colours, including Lemon Meringue, a pastel yellow that I loved but my Nan hated. She'd always say 'you're wearing that bloody yellow nail polish again!' I have no idea why she hated it so much, but she did, and although that nail polish is now six years old, I will never ever throw it out cause it reminds me of her and always makes me laugh.

So as you can tell, I have fond memories of Models Own, but these days, my excitement levels around nail polish have died down a bit. I feel like I've seen everything, I have all the colours I need right? But then recently, I saw a new collection from Models Own that got me almost as excited as I was back in 2010. The Polish For Tans* collection is a set of five colours to enhance and show off your tan. Now also another story for you, I used to be obsessed with anything that showed off my tan. So this kinda thing is always going to pique my interest and the new shades are seriously amazing.

They are the perfect holiday nail colours, featuring a bright coral, bright baby pink, bright orange, bright pink and purple, they are so so nice. I have three colours from the range; Beach Fire a neon orange which I'm wearing right now, Island Hop a bright pink and Boat Party a bright purple. They definitely enhance your tan and are seriously bright. Like I said, absolute perfect holiday nails. I've found that Beach Fire has lasted so well on my nails, this week I have been packing up the house and I have one finger that has chipped. One. The others are pretty perfect which I think is impressive.

I also have four of the Soft Pop collection*, which is also a new range from Models Own, it's described as an ice cool neon pastel range, I mean this is also seriously up my street. I have four shades; Candyfloss a bright neon baby pink which I am in LOVE with, Lemon Popsicle a neon pastel yellow (one I definitely wouldn't wear around my Nan if she was still with us today) Lilac Flush, a bright lilac and Cosy Fosy a bright apple green. These are also amazing for showing off a tan.

Both of the collections scream summer, and feature different colours that I haven't seen anywhere else before, if I were lucky enough to be jetting off somewhere warm this summer,  I would 100% be packing these colours.

So there we have some amazing summer colours, I feel like my excitement for Models Own has been reignited again, which is always nice but maybe not so great for my bank balance haha.

Have you got any of the Polish for Tans or Soft Pop nail colours? What's your fave summer nail colour?
