Every girl in their life needs some luxury. Even if you’re about to embark on student life, do not fear, your student loan will help you afford a little luxury now and then. Even if you have to eat beans on toast for the next month. But that’s for another post. However having just left the world of being a student behind (can I go back please? I miss having lie ins, having days off and being able to spend lunchtimes in the pub.) My world of luxury is quite well unluxurious. I try to not spend too much money as I seem to always be saving for something, either a holiday or for an house, however sometimes it’s okay to go a little mad and treat yourself. I do this from time to time and although this little bit of luxury I’m about to tell you about was bought using a voucher, I still feel like I’ve added a little luxury to my life and it’ll keep me going on the treat front for a while. Phew how many times did I just say luxury?
I’ve added to my YSL lipstick collection, I say collection.. I now have two. But hey it’s a start! I already own one Rouge Volupte lipstick in the shade Nude Beige which I picked up last Autumn but now I have a new beautiful shade to go alongside it. Nude Beige now has a brighter, summery sister to keep it company. I’m sure all of you have seen the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks and I’m sure you’ll agree with me that they’re a little bit special. From the gorgeous gold bullet that screams ‘ I COST A LOT OF MONEY BABY’ to the fruity scent that entices you in like a spell. It’s fair to say, you can’t help but cradle these babies and think ‘yes you worth your £23.50 price tag.’ To be fair I’ve never said that as I can’t say the price out loud. I bought mine with a Debenhams voucher which I received from the press day back in May. I decided I wanted a new lipstick and I knew I wanted some luxury in life. I went in with the intention of buying Faubourg Peach which is a nudey peach colour, however when hearing it was sold out, I wasn’t prepared to go home empty handed. I basically made the poor woman behind the counter try various shades on me and we decided I could maybe opt for a slightly brighter shade to go with my tan. My favourite ended up being Peach Passion (13) which is a delightful peach/coral/pink. It’s creamy, it smells divine and looks great with a tan.
At first I wasn’t sure about it, it was very bright for me and I had luxury lipstick buyers remorse. However a couple months down the line, I now love it and wear it pretty much every day. My make up has become a lot more toned down lately and I’ve found that when my eye make up is simple, Peach Passion really brightens up my face and helps liven up my work uniform. I was initially disappointed with Nude Beige as the nudey pink didn’t last on my lips very long, however this is not the case with Peach Passion. This leaves a really gorgeous peachy/coral tint on the lips that lasts for hours. When I’m at work, I can’t take my lippy with me so this means that throughout my shift I have some lip colour and the tint is neat and a little bit beautiful. So obviously the brighter the colour the better with the YSL Rouge Volupte’s. I have to say, Peach Passion is the new baby in my life and I love getting it out and applying it. There’s just that smug feeling of applying a designer lipstick in public. However I know this is pricey and I’m pretty sure it won’t be for a long while that I add again to my luxury collection. But for now, Peach Passion does the job and is now my favourite luxury lipstick. Yes I know you’re not supposed to favourite your
children lipsticks but I most certainly have.

Ah well, I’ll start the saving next month 😉 have a great Saturday, I’m off to work in a bit and then I’m looking forward to an evening in watching Xfactor and Xtra factor 🙂
