My Favourite New Skincare brand..

Recently I’ve been properly getting into skincare, I really try to take good care of my skin and I’m seeing the difference. My skin has completely changed and although it’s not perfect it’s a lot better than what it used to be! However if you work retail like I do, you will know that you’re not paid bucket loads which means I still have to be quite careful with my money. This means I try to look out for purse friendly skincare brands and boy I’ve found a good one. Ren is a brand, I got into in 2012. It’s a brand that’s known for it’s natural ingredients and doesn’t break the purse strings either! Hooray. So I thought I’d share my favourite products that I’ve tried and actually work too. Okay so let’s get started.

The Mayblossom T Zone Control Range:

Mayblossom T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel £17

Clarifying Toning Lotion £18

This range is specifically for combination skin, which is what my skin is more like these days! I bought the clarifying toner and tzone control cleansing gel to try and I like them. I prefer the toner out of the two as I feel sometimes that the cleanser doesn’t do as much as another Ren cleanser I love. The toner which smells a bit funky, is an exfoliating toner so it breaks down your skin cells, it also helps to unclog your pores. It’s like a everyday version of Liquid Gold which I find a little too harsh on my skin sometimes. The toner really helps to take any remnant’s of dirt left on my face and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean. Since using it, my skin has got clearer, smoother and my pores don’t seem to be as clogged up which is amazing.

Clarifying & Radiance

ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser £18

Gyloclactic Radiance Renewal Mask £30

This Clearcalm 3 clarifying clay cleanser is probably one of my favourite cleansers ever. It’s the best one I’ve used for breakout skin. I see this as like a neutraliser for your skin, the clay calms the skin down and helps to reduce breakouts. It cleanses deeply and purifies the skin, gently exfoliates and helps to reduce pore size. When I had a really nasty breakout back in November, I used this and it completely calmed my skin down. It helps your skin but kindly. It doesn’t dry your skin out, it just gives it a good talking to. I’ve sadly now run out of this and I need to get a new bottle as this is seriously good stuff. If you’re prone to breakouts, I whole heartily recommend this cleanser.

Next up is a new favourite face mask of mine, the glycolactic radiance renewal mask, is very similar to liquid gold. The glycolactic acid helps to unclog dead skin cells, it helps to provide a new surface for your skin. It helps to smoothen the texture, makes your skin brighter and healthier. It also helps with fine lines, wrinkles, pore congestion, blackheads and even acne. It’s a miracle worker in a bottle. It’s very thick and orange, think smooth marmalade or a Rowntree fruit winder, it smells amazing too. I pop this on for ten minutes and my skin is like ‘THANK YOU!’ Afterwards. Again I’m on my last dregs so that means I need to get a replacement. It’s pretty pricey at £30 but  I bought this back in the summer and after using it every week, it’s only just finished. Not too bad eh.

So there we have it, my new favourite products from my new favourite skincare brand. After writing about all those, I need to go make a REN order right now. I know you want to too 😉
