The Winter Coat

It occurred to me the other day that I haven’t formally introduced you guys to my winter coat. Yes I’m one of those who likes to have a new winter coat every winter, life’s too short for the same winter coat. I do struggle with coats, I’m very fussy and usually I will buy three or four, then return them before finding the ideal winter coat. Last year I ended up getting a black one from H&M, it did the job by my god it’s boring. This year however my coat is in no way boring, in fact I feel stylish in it and I’ve never felt stylish in a winter coat. I spotted this Topshop beauty when I was shopping with my sister and boyfriend, I tried it on and my sister said ‘It’s very Cheryl mixed with Made in Chelsea.’ With those words I was bought, who doesn’t want to look like a Cheryl/Millie Mackintosh concoction? However I couldn’t justify the price tag to spend on myself and that was that, though it was never far from my thoughts.

My boyfriend surprised me a few days later and said it was my graduation present which was so sweet, it also then meant I had to get him a graduation present. I think that was his plan though 😉 ever since I got it, I haven’t taken it off, just to shower. Ha I am joking but you get my drift, this coat is from the petite range and it fits perfectly. It doesn’t drown me or make me feel like I’ve borrowed a coat from my Dad’s wardrobe. In fact I’m pretty sure I could pass for a Made in Chelsea extra in this coat, I love that it’s a statement and can liven up a boring outfit. Of course the most important thing is it warm? Yes it is!! It keeps the cold out rather well and is a life saviour when I’m walking to work on frosty mornings.

It’s a beauty of a coat and I just wanted to introduce it to you all. Guys meet Topshop coat, Topshop coat meet my blog readers. So now you’ve been acquainted, it’s time for me to go. Hope you’re all having a good week so far 🙂
