What’s in my emergency make up bag…

Before I started working full time, I never really bothered with carrying any make up with me in my handbag. I’d make my make up last as I wouldn’t be out that long so I wouldn’t really need any touch ups. However I’m sure you all know that when you’re working all day, sometimes you need a little make up top up at lunch time. So a new bag has been thrown in to my handbag, a emergency make up bag. It’s full of products that I can quickly apply to save the day. The make up bag itself is from Marks and Spencer and I got it for Christmas. It’s so me, a shabby chic union jack design? My Mum did good. So obviously what we all really care about is what’s in the make up bag. Shall we?

Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte: Let’s start with powder first, a oily skinned gal’s saviour. I don’t particularly like powder or even use it every day but sometimes if through the day I’m looking a bit shiny, I’ll reach for this. It helps to take away any shine but doesn’t look too powdery or cakey.

Concealer: Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer & Estee Lauder Maximum Cover: Concealer is always a must have for emergencies. Sometimes a naughty spot will pop up during the day or the wind will make your eyes run and you end up with a stripe down your face. Or maybe you just need a little concealer under the eyes to revive those tired eye bags.

Lipstick: I have many lipstick’s in my make up bag, they vary from a luxury YSL Rouge Volupte Peach Passion for brighter lip days, a Burts Bee Tinted Lip Balm for lazy peachy lip days,  a MAC Shy Girl for a slightly more frosted peach day. I also have a Barry M lipgloss to shove on when I fancy a bit of gloss action in my life.

Eyeliners: You need a eyeliner for topping up the waterline, most days I go without but when I fancy a slightly more dramatic eye, this Rimmel Scandaleyes black liner is super pigmented and lasts all day. Whilst the Bourjois Kohl Liner in brown is great for topping up my eyeshadow.

Travalo*: I always carry my travalo with me to top up my perfume through out the day. I currently have The Body Shop’s coconut scented spray in there which helps me keep perky at work as it reminds me of holidays 🙂

Nail Files: Finally some nail files, these glittery ones will fit the job if I break a nail and it goes all raggedy which is one of my pet hates!

So there we have it, my emergency make up bag full of products just in case. After all you never know you could be walking down the street and bump into Harry Styles, then you’d be thanking yourself for the five different lippies to choose from. 😉
