Spring Nail polishes..

It’s officially March, my Cheryl calender has been turned over and finally we’re getting lighter mornings and evenings. It no longer goes dark at like half past four, which means Spring is well and truly on it’s way. Hooray. I got a bit over excited the other day and wore jeans and ballet pumps.. with no socks/tights. I was thinking ‘it’s March, I can wear just ballet pumps..’ but oh no by the time I got home my poor feet were blue. So whilst I’m dreaming of wearing just a jacket outside, until I can actually do that, I’ll start adorning my nails with Spring colours.

Essie Absolutely Shore: So I’m totally blaming this purchase on Anna. This off white/Green shade is one that shouldn’t work, but totally does. It looks really flattering on your nails and is a perfect spring shade. It totally reminds me of a colour that i could see Blair Waldorf would wear or something. It looks super polished and is a nice change to the average pink/grey nude shades.

Essie Cute As A Button: This is the brightest colour of the lot and it’s a good un. A coral/bright pink that looks amazing! It reminds me of Barry M’s Flamingo Pink but longer lasting. I used to love that colour when I was like 17, so it brings back fond memories. I really love it though, it lasts for a good few days without chipping and looks amazing with a tan. Holiday nail polish contender for sure!

L-R: Essie Absolutely Shore, Essie Cute As a Button, Barry M Gelly Range Greenberry, Barry M Gelly Prickly Pear, Barry M Gelly Lychee.

Barry M Gelly Range: Greenberry: This is a gorgeous colour that you just have to see in real life. It’s a green/blue colour that is completely different to anything else I own, which is saying something. It’s not too bright that it’s garish, it’s just a really nice colour. The gelly range is a new addition to the Barry M nail range and I have to say I’m very impressed. It lasts a lot longer than the usual Barry M polish which is obviously better for us all. The formula is also so much shinier and dries so quickly. Barry M I am impressed.

Barry M Gelly Range: Prickly Pear: Another Barry M polish, but this is the most perfect shade for spring. A lilacy purple colour, that is right up my street. Again it has that amazing shiny formula and it’s opaque after one coat.

Barry M Gelly Range: Lychee: Oh here we have another Barry M.. can you tell I like them? I had to include a nude polish but I didn’t want a wintery one.. oh no. None of that browny sludge rubbish.. so I’ve opted for Lychee a brighter nude colour which is perfect for spring. It also reminds me of Chanel Frenzy which I fell in love with but at £18 I didn’t love it that much! I”ve also uploaded a video on my youtube channel about these polishes, of course I know not everyone likes watching videos, but if you want to check out my newly found Imovie editing skills you can watch the video on my channel HERE..

So there we have my top five spring nail shades, what are yours? Any I’ve missed out? I hope you’ve all had a great week and I’ll see you soon 🙂
