Being a beauty blogger, I can be a bit of a floozy when it comes to make up. I’ll proclaim how much I love a product and then about two weeks later I’ll be using something else. What can I say, I get bored easily. Recently I’ve been in a bit of a rut with my make up, in the past few weeks I’ve been ditching blusher and really smokey eyes. But now I’m back on board waving a blush brush and a blending brush. Smoke me up baby. But after looking through my make up bag, it needed a shake up. So I turned to my big bag of unloved products. I like to go through this bag from time to time and swap products to my everyday make up bag. I like to see myself as Simon Cowell of the make up world and I’m giving eye shadows one last chance before they have to give up their dream. I sometimes say ‘ well done you’ve made it to judges houses..’ whilst popping a old blush back into the everyday bag. Of course I’m joking… *looks away.* So here is some products I’ve been using that I haven’t used in ages and I must say.. I’m enjoying rediscovering some old gems.
YSL Touche Eclat Foundation: This foundation is always in my make up bag, but of late I’ve been shunning it for a lighter base. However I decided that it was time to dig it back out then as it gives you such a nice finish to your skin. I also think it’s great for lasting all day and now I’m no longer a lady of leisure it’s time to bring back the long lasting products. Laura Mercier I’ll probably see you again in a month or so 🙂
Nars Laguna Bronzer: Ooh this is such a cult bronzer, but as much as I like it, I’ve never really been ‘wowed.’ I am a tanaholic so i do love a tan and I find it to almost be quite light for me. But I’ve been using it again and I’m enjoying it. It has a slight shimmery trhough it which means it gives you a sun kissed glow. It still hasn’t replaced my number one bronzer (Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder) but it’s definitely number two. Well done to you Nars.
MAC Warmth of Coral Blush: I’ve been ditching the blush lately, but I had a hankering for a peachy glow again. I discovered a long lost forgotten blush.. MAC’s warmth of Coral which is a gorgeous coral/peach colour which really brightens up your face. I can’t believe I haven’t used this in so long as it’s such a nice colour. I’m sorry Warmth Of Coral.. let’s hope you forgive me.
Urban Decay Naked Palettes: I know that Naked palette one isn’t pictured, but honestly that thing is almost two years old.. it’s seen better days. I’ve been digging my naked palettes after not using them for a good month! I know how shocking eh! I’ve been after a more smokey eye after seeing the babe Mila Kunis on like every tv programme over the past week. She always has a amazing brown smokey eye and i wanted in on the action. I’ve been loving the combo; Sidecar, Smog, YDK and Dark horse. Mila eat your heart out.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara*: This seems to of been in everyone’s February favourites and I thought, you know what.. I haven’t used that mascara in a long while. I have to say, I am back to loving it. My lashes are long, fluttery and are the best friend to a smokey eye.
Ta Da the finished look.. 🙂
So there we have it, I’ve shopped my stash and I’m loving it. The best thing is that you can go shopping for free! However I am coveting some expensive beauty buys. My finger is currently hovering over a Debenhams order (10% off right now folks) and a Space NK order.. Do I Don’t I? Eeep I’ll maybe think about it… Hope you’re all having a great week so far 🙂
