Dressing like a china plate..

I don’t know about you, but I have been loving this hot weather that we have been experiencing lately. Summer has finally arrived, but let’s be honest we should make the most of it before it starts raining again. I’ve been digging out my summer clothes and rediscovering some gems that I’d totally forgotten about. This dress from Topshop is one that I’ve had for over a year, I received it as part of a blogger competition that I entered for website Style Compare and very shamefully I haven’t shown it much love since. It’s a petite dress so it’s a little too short for work wear, but absolutely fine for sunny days out.

Dress: Topshop* (last year)

Belt: Primark

Sandals: Steve Madden

Yesterday we travelled to go meet my dad, his partner, and my sisters and new baby brother. We met at Bicester, and had lunch in a nearby pub. It was nice to meet my new baby brother Daniel who is a little cutie and see my little sister Esme who for the first time in 18 months finally gave me a cuddle! Maybe she’s coming round to her big sister! We had a lovely day and it’s always nice to have a catch up and baby snuggles!

Me and baby Daniel..

So it’s getting very close to our holiday now. We fly out to Egypt on Monday, and I won’t lie with all the trouble going on there at the moment I am feeling a little anxious but we have been told that Sharm El Sheikh is fine. I’m looking forward to having a break from work and getting some sun! Now it’s the case of packing and finding some last holiday clothes to buy! Primark and topshop massively disappointed me but it’s come to me that I think I prefer online shopping to real shopping. Anyone else feel this way? Anyways I hope you’re all good and have had a great week, hopefully if I get my bum into gear I will get some holiday inspired posts up for next week whilst I’m away!
