Sometimes I can be a bit stubborn. And if everyone is raving about a beauty product, sometimes I’ll try to avoid it. This happened when everyone and their gran was loving Nars’s Radiant Creamy Concealer and at £22 a pop, I was sure that you could find a similar concealer elsewhere but for a fraction of the price. However after trying numerous concealers, and reading too many rave reviews, the hype got to me. I received a John Lewis voucher for my birthday, and the Nars concealer was on my wish list. Costing me just £2, in a way I was hoping I wouldn’t like it. But alas I did like it and hence why I am now writing this review now.
Let me just say this is one of the best concealers I have ever used. Okay strong words there but seriously. Being someone who at the age of 23 still has the skin of a teenager and someone who will always have eye bags even if they slept for 24 hours, I need a fair bit of concealer. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is blend able, creamy, and high coverage. It also lasts all day long. I’ve tried many concealers in the past, both high end and drugstore and this one is one of my faves. Although there are supposed to be dupes for this concealer, in my opinion they don’t match up to the coverage and longevity as Nars’s offering does. However my only con is that it doesn’t last that long. Within 5 weeks, my tube was empty leaving me with a sad face. When priced at £22, you’d think it would last a little longer, but I did manage to re purchase when there was 25% student discount on ASOS and I may have made my sister make a little order!
Colour wise, this is a popular concealer and a lot of the shades are usually out of stock. Back in the Summer I used Custard, and now I use Vanilla, though this is a little pale for my fake tan days! I’m still on the hunt for the perfect concealer, but for now Nars is sitting pretty on the top spot.
