I remember when Topshop announced they were starting to bring out make up. I didn’t think it would be up to much if I’m honest, but then I ordered a couple of items out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised by how good the products were. Over the years, some Topshop products have become staples in my make up bag. Hello; the Glow pot is just perf.
This year marks five years since the launch which is just crazy. It seems like five minutes ago right? I remember so many of the cult products from over the years, from Neon Rose blush, to Coy lipstick, I remember when all us beauty bloggers went mad over items like that and they were all sold out for months. One thing I have always loved, is the lookbook and campaign images and have always found myself inspired by them.
For the five year anniversary, I thought it might be fun to try out one of looks from one of the original campaign images that were released when the range came out a few years ago. For the gold eye look i was inspired by, I used; the shadow in Galaxy which is a rich bronze brown for a base, then added a mixture of the Glow Stick and Zephyr a cream highlighter which was a pinky metallic gold. These create a metallic gold/pink/bronze eye. I then added some thick eyeliner along the lashline using the Chubby Liner, before adding some Doe Eyed Lashes mascara to make my lashes fluttery and long. For my brows I used the brow palette in the shade Fetch to define and shape my unruly brows after 10 nights of camping! Finally for the lips, I used a nude shade from the range and applied Nevada, which funnily enough is where I was for the past 10 days, but is also a creamy, rich nude colour.
There we go, that was everything Topshop that I used for this metallic gold eye look, and very generously Topshop have offered 10x of the same set of make up for you guys to win! All you have to do is enter the raffle copter competition down below and I’ll draw ten winners in a week’s time! 🙂 Good luck!
