I have something to admit… I haven’t done any Christmas shopping yet. I know, I know, I just can’t seem to get my act together, and tbh I haven’t really seen anything for anyone so I’ve not been feeling inspired. However, hopefully if you’ve been feeling like me, my next few posts should inject some Christmas shopping inspiration your way, as today I am kicking off my gift guides woo!!
I’m genuinely, a little excited about getting these gift guides out as I have been planning them since the beginning of November, and I am so happy with how they’ve turned out (and hopefully you will like them too!) So today, I thought what better way to start my gift guides, than with a Stocking Fillers guide.
Opening our stockings, has always been one of my favourite things about Christmas. As a kid we’d pile into Mum and Dad’s bed first thing and open them, and these days we still wake up super early, go downstairs and sit in our pyjamas and open them with Christmas music playing. A good stocking in my book, is one that is full of a mixture of things. Cute bits, chocolate, everyday essentials and a couple of slightly bigger presents. Of course, they don’t have to be expensive, and as I always say, Christmas isn’t about presents at all, but hopefully you’ll like these stocking fillers!
So the majority of my picks are beauty based, but some other none beauty ideas would be; chocolate, chocolate coins, candy canes, sweets, a Terry’s Chocolate orange, tissues, nail files, socks, key rings, candles, etc…
So let’s start shall we?
This Barry M palette is so nice, and so affordable too, as well as these Colourburst balm lipsticks from Revlon, and this amazing lip set from MUA (they remind me of the Kylie Jenner cosmetics lipsticks.) The Ciate Wonderland mascara is so good, and the packaging is perfect for stockings, Caudalie have a wonderful selection of stocking filler gifts, and this Beauty Exlir is so Christmassy with its gold lid. There’s also a bath oil too, which is perfect for a pampering gift, Soap and Glory have some amazing gifts as always, and this Kohl set is perfect for any eyeliner fan.
I love little bits of make up in my stocking, and I couldn’t resist adding some of my favourite things right now; Benefit Gimme Brow, Barry M mascara, Too Faced Melted Lipstick, and this Charlotte Tilbury dupe palette from NYX. A little luxury filler, is a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick, of course this is quite an expensive stocking filler, but isn’t that the dream to have one in your stocking?
Body Fantasies sprays are perfect for stockings and honestly smell so good! The Ciate Nail duo kits are perfect for Christmas presents, and can we just talk about how cute the packaging is? essie nail polish is also always a winner, as well is Barry M if you are looking for a cheaper alternative.
This Wet Brush is a special edition for Christmas and tell me who wouldn’t want to brush their hair with a gold brush? Bath bombs are also always a winner, and always something I buy for people’s stockings, these Luxury Bath Melts smell amazing! I also always love a hand sanitiser, don’t ask me why, just do, so i always love getting a new one in my stocking, yes it’s a little weird but hey haha! Finally quirky gifts are always a winner, this cute mirror from Prezzybox is SO cute!
Stockings can be filled with whatever you like, I try to fill them with a bit of everything, but it’s obviously up to you! I hope you enjoyed my first gift guide, tomorrow I will be back with my next Beauty Gift Guide so keep your eyes peeled at 8am!
What would you like to receive in your stocking this year?
